The function of HVAC systems in a Pacebiotech Pharma (India) Pvt. Ltd.
An HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system is essential in biotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. This keeps the regulated environments necessary for drug manufacture and regulatory compliance. In our company, HVAC systems allow us to comply with international standards, including WHO-GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), US FDA (Food and Drug Administration), and EU GMP guidelines. Hence, these systems help us in the regulation of environmental conditions that allow our pharmaceutical products to meet severe regulatory criteria for safety and effectiveness. Moreover, we understand that biotech products, particularly biologics, are sensitive to temperature and humidity changes. Thus, we use the HVAC systems for precision management to avoid degradation. This system’s advanced filtration (HEPA filters) also helps us to keep the air clean by eliminating particles, bacteria, and pollutants in our production centres.
In addition, with the help of the HVAC systems, we always ensure cleanrooms meet required ISO classifications (e.g., ISO 5, ISO 7, or ISO 8). We also ensure the proper air changes per hour (ACH) while minimising airborne particulates. Along with these laminar flow systems, we use unidirectional airflow to protect delicate medicines and products during manufacture. Besides all of this, we have separate manufacturing areas (e.g., sterile and non-sterile) via airlocks and pressure gradients. This also allows us to effectively eliminate dangerous or bioactive chemicals from our laboratories and manufacturing locations.
